Meet the Maker

Tired of seeing the same minimalist jewelry that everyone else is wearing? You’ve come to the right place!

Hook Honey is handmade microcrochet jewelry crafted with stitches so tiny you won’t believe it’s crocheted. The crochet is practically painted on with a palette of 100% cotton thread to create tiny colorful works of art. Each one is hand crocheted with a precision hook to create an individual bit of portable magic that is as enchanting and unique as you.

It all starts with color.

A small, concentrated dose of saturated color makes a big impact and catches the eye. It makes people pause, maybe even lean in to get a closer look. If you want to be noticed, especially by the folks in your immediate circle, this is the jewelry you’re looking for.

A little more about me:

I’m Sabrina, the maker behind Hook Honey. I’ve been crocheting since I was 8 and my grandmother taught me on Saturday evenings when I would stay with her while my mom taught Cotillion dance lessons. I spent a couple of decades happily crocheting in “regular size.” A few years ago, I started experimenting with tinier and tinier crochet hooks and thinner and thinner yarn, and finally a 0.4mm hook and sewing thread, and I was (if you’ll pardon the pun) hooked. Hook Honey Microcrochet Jewelry was born.

My husband and teenage child and I, along with our 3 cats, 1 beagle, 5 goats, 3 beehives, and eleventy-billion plants, live on a small farm in South Carolina where we run a farmers market garden and plant nursery. Plants are my third true love (after my family and crocheting). I strongly believe in conservation and being a better steward of our planet, and 10% of profits from Hook Honey sales will go to conservation organizations such as The Pollinator Partnership, The SC Native Plant Society, The Audobon Society, and The Jane Goodall Institute. When I’m not in the greenhouse or the goat pen, I’m crocheting, so I can bring you all the tiny cute jewelry the world can handle.
